So the day all of us Morning Musume fans have feared has finally come to fruition. Michishige Sayumi, Morning Musume 14’s leader and one of the greatest idols that has ever lived, has finally graduated after one of the longest and most successful idol careers ever. After 11 long years, Sayu is finally calling it quits, wrapping up her tenure at the famous Yokohama Arena, a venue fitting for one of the best to ever do it. If you’ve read my Top #30 idol rankings, you would know that Shige is my #2 favorite idol of all time so this is gonna hurt for awhile. But Morning Musume is eternal and this is a natural part of the group, young unpolished girls coming in and amazing idols and women coming out.

It was announced a few months ago by Tsunku Sama that Country Musume was to be revived after being defunct for quite a few years. Only one member of the group was still active, Satoda Mai, and she had moved on with her life and moved to New York with husband superstar Yankee’s pitcher Tanaka Masahiro. Well after months of silence the new group was finally revealed to the public. Country Musume will undertake a name change to coincide withe the the new members, 6 in total. Two Eggs have been promoted, Yamaki Risa and Inaba Manaka, along with 3 new faces I believe came from the Morning Musume 12 gen finalist. Manaka is to me the most famous of the bunch and will probably be center of the group as she was a former Idol group leader (PEACEFUL) and has a good dance and vocal background even being voted best dancer among the Eggs. I know I said that there are 6 members but I only listed 5 cause the 6th member is a bit special and needs to be talked about by herself. And no its not Satoda Mai, she will serve as the groups general manager from NY. The last member of the group is none other than…..
….Berryz Koubou’s Tsugunaga Momoko!!!! Yes, Momochi is the 6th and final member of the revived Country Musume. She will serve as the “playing manager” which I assume is like a player coach or like a Sashihara Rino type member, somebody who is in charge of the group yet one of its members as well. I think this is a great move as Momo is somebody who knows the idol game better than most, she knows what it takes and has the talent to get there. And i kind of figured that H!P wouldnt want to lose Momochi as she is much to valuabe of an asset. She is without a doubt the most famous and successful member currently in the organization after Michishige and a H!Ps biggest media presence so it makes since they thought of ways to keep her around. I’m excited to see what this group brings to the table in the future but still feel bad cause there are some big names getting overlooked in the Egg pool like Hamaura, Taguchi, and Ogawa. Feel even worse that Tanabe Nanami called it quits too, I guess she got tired of being passed over. Wonder if there will be another group created soon to be a replacement for C-ute cause their getting old too.
On October 15th Morning Musume 14, my original and favorite idol group, released their 5th single Tiki Bun. LIke most singles of the current 14 era, its a Triple A side comprised of singles Tiki Bun, Shabadaba Doo,and Mikaeri Bijin. It will also serve as the last single for current Leader Michishige Sayumi who will graduate this November. Morning Musume who has been on a roll lately came into this single having ranked #1 on the Oricon Weekly charts for the last 5 singles and this one could have been six. But sadly it wasn’t, the streaked was finally snapped when highly popular male idol group Kanjani Eight also decided to release on the 15th and their popularity proved to be too much for the Musumes.
Gotta wonder if AKS paid off Johnny’s to nonchalantly end the streak as they announced their release date far later than all the others who released on the same day lol… Nonetheless, this single was still highly successful placing 2nd on the Oricon Weekly with a staggering 135k single sales.

I’m Finally back from my vacation and free time from my job to finally complete my All Time favorite idol rankings. I will also take this opportunity to create a new category of thread which I plan to do in the future called Idol Spotlight. In this new category of posts I will talk about an Idol that has caught my interest and that I feel that other people should know about. They can be from any time and of any caliber of success or popularity, only criteria being is that I find them entertaining. Since my #1 Kami Oshi obviously meets this criteria I feel its appropriate that she be the first entry of the Idol Spotlight. The other entries wont be as long or media heavy as this one though, but since its my Kami Oshi im gonna go all out on this one… So without further ado, my favorite idol and in my opinion the greatest idol that ever lived is……..

I’m back with my second part of my All Time Favorite Idol Rankings. I would have uploaded it sooner but I decided that it would be more beneficial to me in the future if I categorized my picture collection while I had the spare time so yeah. 10k pictures unorganized are now in folders for each seperate idol, maybe a litte OCD of me but it should save some time in the future. Anyways, this list has my #10 – #2 favorite idols and will have a little more elaboration since there are only 9 people I gotta talk about. Well let me stop wasting and time and get the show on the road

Just recently Matsumura Sayuri, one of the more popular members of Nogizaka 46 was caught by Shunkan Busan on a date with a man. They allegedly say this wasn’t the first time and they’ve seen each other 3 times in total and even caught pictures of them hugging and kissing. What makes it a 1000 times worse is the fact that the alleged man is married with kids. While I don’t condone adultery, and anybody who enables and participates in this is scum in my book, we’ll have to wait to all the real evidence to come out before anybody can pass any judgment on the issue. Aside from that love ban law is out of control and should have never been created in the first place. It violates the natural order of life and deprives these girls of an integral piece of growing up

As I said in my about section i like ranking idols in stupid or serious criteria. So what better way to start my first Ranking series than to Rank my All Time Favorite Idols. These are idols who over the course of my 7 years of being a wota have remained my favorites. I believe you can also tell a wotas personality by the idols he follows so you’ll kind of get an idea of my types of idols through this list. So without further ado here is part 1 with #30 to #11

A few weeks ago leader Wada Ayaka and Fukuda Kanon announced to the other members and the world that they had decided it was time to add a 3rd generation and change the group name. They said this was a necessary change to move ahead into the future. After about two weeks we now see the results of the that declaration as 3 new members from the Hello! Pro eggs have been promoted into the 3rd generation of S/mileage. Murota Mizuki, Aikawa Maho and Sasaki Rikako are the three newest members of the group, the name will be decided at a later date based off fan votes. I follow the Eggs to some degree but Murota Mizuki i’ve only heard of and I have no clue who Aikawa Maho is so only time will tell how they work out with being promoted to the big leagues. On the other hand Sasaki Rikako is a monster who was one of my favorite Eggs and one of the most heavily promoted

So with me being a hardcore wota and long time Morning Musume Fan when I heard that they were coming to NY I knew I would regret it if I didnt take advantage of this gift. I mean, they are the first Idol group I ever followed and the reason I became a so obsessed with the idol genre. So here is a summary of my first encounter with my favorite group
Since I actually dont live to far from NY I figured I could just hop a train since its only an hour away and get there pretty early. Boy was I wrong, showing up at 2pm I discovered the line had already reached around a block and I dont know if you realize how big a NY city block is smh. So I was buried way at the back with the rest of the fellow fans who weren’t anticipating the early lines. Ended up getting stuck behind some Zukki fans who just bashed Riho and Sayu the whole time in line. Its kind of ignorant that Zukki fans get so “butthurt” whenever somebody says anything negative about Zukki yet they are the ones who tend to diss and bash other members the most. Whatever. After about 2 hours finally got in the arena
